At one of the Adult Intensive Treatment Residences, the basement is a great open space but is unfinished. For the space to be fully accessible for clients, we must construct and paint walls, fix leaks, install flooring, lighting, and carpet. By 2024, we hope to finish the basement and have it be a regular family space for all clients to play, meet, and complete programming.
Despite this organization running since 1985, none of our programs or the organization as a whole has been registered as a charitable organization yet. Registering allows us to:
By 2025, we hope to finish the process of registering with the Government of Canada and become a registered charitable organization.
One of our homes is being changed to a community house for every client to come swim, socialize, do group activities, and have a change of scenery.
It is unsure when this project will be completed by but it is in the works.
